The quickest way to get someone to visit your site is by offering something for free. Whether it be free information, signup for free newsletter, or an actual free deliverable, people are drawn by the word FREE. However, there’s nothing more irritating that when the item advertised for free is not actually free, or you’re required to give a credit card # and the 1st X months are free and then if you don’t cancel correctly, your card will be automatically charged. Look folks, it’s either free or it’s not. If you want people to bite on your free offering, then make sure that it’s absolutely 100% free with no strings attached. That’s what people like to see.
