Frame Tips

• To ensure that your website can be easily indexed by the search engines you submit it to, visit Search Engine Watch’s tutorial on “Search Engines and Frames.”
• Ensure that any pictures and tables will fit within the main body of the website (main frame where your topical content is displayed).
• Turn off scrolling for all but the main body and navigation areas.
• Always design your frame layout up front and determine the exact size for each frame and the maximum size of the components (tables, pictures, buttons, etc.) that you will place in each frame. Below is an example of a layout design used on a previous website:
