We’ve talked a lot about many important aspects of product selection, however, there’s one remaining item that is crucial to the overall success of your business; your newsletter. Remember how we said our goal is residual income? Your newsletter provides you and your customers with the avenue for repeat business. So how exactly does that come into play during product selection? Your product must fall into a category that will allow you to create a newsletter of interest that people will subscribe to. 

In some cases, it will be obvious how to tie a newsletter to your product or service. In other cases it won’t be so easy. So what do you do when you feel like you have a product or service that is perfect and you just can’t think of how to tie it to a newsletter? Here’s a couple of ideas we have already covered:

Once you have several ideas, you’ll use the same research tools you used for product selection to determine the interest level for your newsletter ideas. This is an important process that will largely define how popular your newsletter is. Remember, in order to drive repeat business to your site, you’ll need a something that will be incrementally of interest to your customers.
