Step 10 – Time To Auction

We’ve covered a lot of territory since we first began back in “Let’s Get Started.” If you implemented each step up to this point, then you are finally ready for eBay! You probably thought you’d never make to this point! Many people rush to eBay with their product or service and fail to prepare as you have done to reap the rewards of residual income. So let’s get started with the step that will actually bring people to your About Me Page, Website and Newsletter!

We’ve covered the basics and essentials, now it’s time to get to the mechanics. Before you actually post your first auction, read through each section of Step 10 so you have a feel for what will be required overall. For instance, depending on the size weight and shape of your item, different shipping considerations may be required. You really don’t want to be in the middle of setting up a real auction and then have to take time out for 3 or 4 days to determine the best method of shipment for bulky or large items. There are also special considerations for insurance, Header Text/Keyword selection, etc.

You can still begin entry of a ‘fake’ auction and even spend several days playing with it. Each day that you log back in and select SELL, just click on the text link that indicates you want to “Complete Your Listing.” You won’t be charged any fees unless you ‘Submit Your Listing’ on page 5 of the process. I recommend you create a fake auction so that you can follow along each step and get a feel for the requirements of each area.
