Getting Paid

Getting paid should be a simple and straightforward effort with your auction. After all, we put something up for bid, people bid, someone wins, an invoice is sent, they pay their bill, we ship the item and everyone lives happily ever after. And 99.99% of the time, auctions are successfully completed for all parties involved. Occasionally there are glitches. We’ll get to those in a minute.

When the auction ends, eBay automatically send your winning bidder an invoice that will look similar to the one below:

To checkout, the winning bidder simply selects the Pay Now button. They will be offered the opportunity to pay by PayPal (if offered), or whatever method was established in the Payment Methods of Step 10. Things pretty much happen automatically from this point on with PayPal or properly setup Merchant Accounts.
